If you’re on the hunt for a rewards card, you’re probably looking for a card that offers great rewards and no annual fee. Well I have great news and of course with great news, there’s always bad news but I’ll get you started off with the great news. There are plenty of cards out there with no annual fees so this shouldn’t be hard to find but the bad news is that there are also cards with an annual fee but I’ll show you how to find out about these.

The first thing you’re going to want to do is go to a website that will compare reward based credit cards. On these types of sites, you’ll be able to see everything from the APR to the annual fee. This is where you’ll want to keep a close eye out on the annual fee. You’ll find that some card companies will trick you by saying that they will give you a credit for the first year and people forget after that first year that the fee will kick in. Remember, you have to pay an annual fee no matter how much you use the card. It’s like a gym membership. As long as the account is active, you’re going to be charged!

Many people think that if the card has no annual fees, it’s going to be a lousy card but this couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, I’ve compared a couple cards before and really couldn’t see a difference at all. Each card gave you the same amount of points you spent per dollar and the only difference I could see was that the annual fee based card allowed you to special perks like your own toll free number a better “service”

In the long run, a card with no annual fee is going to be just as good with a card with one. Save the money and get a card that you know you won’t have to pay fees on.

Do you encounter a lot of ads every day? If you do, then you probably know that many of these ads arrive in the form of unsolicited email and bulk postal mail for different kinds of credit cards. These advertisements use different tactics and offers to convince you to get their cards. They will try to tempt you with staggeringly low introductory interest rates, no annual fee credit cards and other possible rewards and incentives. You may find it hard to cut through all of the advertising jargon and determine which best credit card would be best for your financial situation.

In my opinion, we would find it a lot easier to find a few good prospects out of the myriad of offers for travel rewards cards, no annual fee credit cards, low interest credit cards, and the other kinds of credit cards if we can use a simple cut and dried algorithm. Of course, you can also try a careful examination of your spending habits along with a little bit of calculation to determine the best card offer.

You should also keep in mind that credit card companies issue credit cards because they want to make money through finance charges and/or annual fees. This means that no annual fee credit cards will usually have higher interest rates than cards that charge an annual fee. It would be wise to consider how you use your credit cards so that you can determine whether you will benefit from a no annual fee credit card or a low interest rate credit card.

If you always pay off your balances in full, or carry very little balance, then there’s a good chance that you can benefit more from no annual fee credit cards. This is because no annual fee credit cards tend to offset the savings from having no annual fee by charging higher interest rates than other cards. Your finance charges will be low, regardless of interest rate if you can keep your balance low.

You should also remember that the interest rate will become much more of a factor, if you carry large balances and do not pay your balance in full. If you handle your credit account this way, then no annual fee credit cards may not be the best choice for you. The credit card with the lowest interest rate may be the best option in your case, because the savings you will get from paying lower finance charges will offset the annual fee that you will be required to pay.

If you’re in the market to find an airline card simply based on your travelling habits or you’re looking for a card that has no annual fee, there are some good ones out there that don’t carry one. Unfortunately, there are cards that do carry a hefty annual fee and there are cards that are very comparable when it comes down to an annual fee.

I’m going to show you some things you should look out for when you’re looking for a card that has no annual fee because just because it doesn’t have one, it doesn’t mean it’s going to be a great card for you and your travels.

Look at the point system: Does the card have a great point system? If so, how do you get your free airline miles? Is it worth it when you spend a dollar? For example, are you spending one dollar and getting one point or are you spending one dollar and getting 6 points? The more you spend, the more you get in return.

Are there blackout dates? One of the perks that I hate with travel cards is that they have expiration dates or blackout dates. If your card has one of them, I wouldn’t even consider it! You’re going to find that when you go to cash it in, your points will probably expire and that won’t make you a happy camper, trust me.

Can you get rewarded everywhere? Some cards will only allow you to get rewarded with particular airlines while others will allow you to use your card everywhere. The question is, do you want to be restricted to one airline or do you want to use your card and get rewarded for every purchase? Sure, it’s great to be loyal to a particular airline company but you may find it more beneficial to get a card that rewards you across the board.

Are there a lot of fees? Sure, the card has no annual fee but does it have monthly fees or other hidden fees? Sometimes, the credit card companies love to play a game that tricks the mindset of many individuals looking to apply for a card. The lesson learned here is to make sure that you read the application over at least three times to make sure you know all the fees that are going to be included. You want a card that has no fees at all. If you’re looking for a card with no interest rate, you’re going to need luck because most have rates!

In the end, you want to read the application carefully. Make sure that you know what you’re doing and just because it has no annual fees, it doesn’t mean it’s a great card. It’s like a purchase in life. You may spend $1 for a toothbrush but is it really good? Sometimes an annual fee is a good thing but other times, it’s not. This will all depend on the card itself. Go out there, do your research and you should find a perfect travel card.
