If you’re on the hunt for a rewards card, you’re probably looking for a card that offers great rewards and no annual fee. Well I have great news and of course with great news, there’s always bad news but I’ll get you started off with the great news. There are plenty of cards out there with no annual fees so this shouldn’t be hard to find but the bad news is that there are also cards with an annual fee but I’ll show you how to find out about these.
The first thing you’re going to want to do is go to a website that will compare reward based credit cards. On these types of sites, you’ll be able to see everything from the APR to the annual fee. This is where you’ll want to keep a close eye out on the annual fee. You’ll find that some card companies will trick you by saying that they will give you a credit for the first year and people forget after that first year that the fee will kick in. Remember, you have to pay an annual fee no matter how much you use the card. It’s like a gym membership. As long as the account is active, you’re going to be charged!
Many people think that if the card has no annual fees, it’s going to be a lousy card but this couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, I’ve compared a couple cards before and really couldn’t see a difference at all. Each card gave you the same amount of points you spent per dollar and the only difference I could see was that the annual fee based card allowed you to special perks like your own toll free number a better “service”
In the long run, a card with no annual fee is going to be just as good with a card with one. Save the money and get a card that you know you won’t have to pay fees on.
